‘Napea’ - Hull #3

Napea, Australian designed and built, third of only four Buizen 52’s following the successful 48’s. Pilothouse cruising sloop. Design and built to International Code ISO 12215 to meet CE European Standards and finished off to the high level that the Buizen yard was renowned for. Inside is finished with lovely walnut and American Oak timbers, leather saloon upholstery and extensive electrical fit out. Professionally maintained by many who built her including the same electricians (BME) who originally commissioned her in Sydney, with many upgrades locally here at Mac Marine Group in Pittwater.

Her current owners took delivery in 2014 having fallen in love with the pilot house design. Wanting a safe, sound and reliable blue water cruiser, they received that and more.

Fitted with an NZ rigging carbon fibre mast, hydraulic Leisurefurl boom for the mainsail and Reckmann electric jib furler, allowing her crew to safely operate all systems from the cockpit. Twin helm pods with dual ZF electric throttles, complete Raymarine instrumentation including radar, autopilot, variable speed Sidepower bowthruster, electric winches and garage door controls all finger touch operation.

If conditions warrant, you can safely tuck into the pilot house helm seat, where you have a fantastic 360 degree view from the safety and controlled climate inside.

Three double cabins, two bathrooms with stand alone showers, reverse cycle air conditioning throughout and loads of electrical equipment make for a luxurious stay aboard Napea.

Her overall condition is a real compliment to her discerning owners. The engine itself and the bay in which it sits along with the generator and water maker are spotless, and yes you could happily dine from it.

Additional works to be completed in April/May will be installation of a new Kohler generator. Mast to be removed and standing rigging replaced by Riggtech.
