M/V ‘Prohibition’ (ex Omega) was designed and built by David Jones of Triabunna, Tasmania and launched in 1982. Having had a complete overhaul in 2022, Prohibition is available to purchase. The unique original lobster trawler is a head turner.
Constructed from 1.5 inch celery top hull and deck over hardwood keel and ribs. Weighing in at 14 tonnes she was put to use in Tasmania as a lobster boat. She was then sold and traveled to Lord Howe island where she worked for 6 years before being sent to Port Macquarie in 2004 where she had a complete conversion refit. At this point a re-conditioned Gardner 127 hp engine was sent out from the UK and fitted along with a new gearbox, shaft and prop. Since 2021, Mac Marine Group has given Prohibition a full cosmetic, electrical and mechanical refit.

Re-paint exterior and hull via roll and tip
Cabinetry work in galley including removal of bench space and custom draws
